Our wooden Wine Trays are made from high quality wood that we source from lumber specialists in Rhode Island and New Hampshire with whom we have conducted business for over 30 years. Our primary focus is on Cherry, Maple and Black Walnut, and we are expanding in Tiger Maple due to demand. Because of our commitment to the nautical sector, we also hand-craft Trays from Mahogany and Teak. Our two longstanding specialty vendors are careful to source their Teak and Mahogany from the proper sources with the proper quality. We limit our production in these two woods.
As discussed on our HANDCRAFT Page, we source the carbon fiber from local yacht-builders via an "upcycling" process. This is a process in which the material for our Trays is cut from the spare spaces in the carbon fiber sheets that the yacht-builders cut for their generally larger items (hulls, masts, etc.). This saves them the cost of disposing the carbon fiber, and enables us to produce Trays without creating any new carbon fiber.
The Sakonnet River Company makes Wine Trays for long term use. We stand behind the quality and the durability. We do not produce disposable products.
